Sending hazy transparencies and rippled waves across your interior universe comes the Stellar range of pendant lights. Sebastian Herkner returns to his exploration into glass production, highlighting clear textured surfaces against smooth frosted semi-spheres; simple forms that utilise the ability of glass to distort and reflect.
Inspired by the intergalactic, Herkner has used repetition in pattern and geometric sensibility to create a collection bordering on the unidentified. Like seeing the night skies brightest through a telescope, Stellar’s soft glow requires closer inspection to see its detailed surface. Appearing like deep ravines on the moons surface, its handblown glass form reveals a semi-sphere full of curved ridges. Frosted acetate is added to its smooth opposite, creating a warming glow.
Available in three sizes, the Stellar range can be used as part of a larger constellation or sit at the centre of its own universe. A colour pallet ranging from the softer clear or white, to smoky grey and aubergine, allows playfulness in creating your own illuminated Milky Way.
